598 Spring Street, PO Box 395, Mars, PA 16046

The first winter storm of 2019 is upon us. The Public Works crew has been hard at work over the last few days, preparing plow vehicles and having 110 tons of salt delivered in an effort to be prepared for this weekend’s storm. There are a few things Borough residents can do to make things go smoothly.

  • Make sure your vehicle is not left or parked on the street.
  • Please do not deposit snow in the street when clearing driveways and sidewalks.
  • If you do not need to travel, don’t.

By doing these three things you can help make plowing and salting go much faster and will allow for more snow to be removed from Borough streets. This will also allow emergency vehicles clearer access to properties should they need it.

Please note that, while we will have Public Works crew members and Police Officers on duty, they will likely be out in plow trucks or helping residents rather than sitting in their offices waiting for the phone to ring. If you find yourself in an emergency situation, call 911. Above all else, please stay safe and warm.

If there are any further developments we will be posting to our website and social media.
