On Thanksgiving, my family with friends, will join folks across our community in sitting down together to give thanks for the good in our lives.
When I look back over the years I have served as Mayor, what strikes me most is that, despite the challenges, for the most part, we have remained kind to each other. People, for the most part, treat each other with respect and understanding that all of us deserve — no matter who we are, where we come from, who we love, or what we believe. It’s that belief in decency that can only come from an optimism for our town and it’s future.
So this holiday, as we gather to spend time with the people who matter most, let’s take some time to remind our children why we are so thankful for them. Because of them, I feel more certain than ever that — no matter what lies ahead — the town of Mars and America will always be shaped by those who strive to be kind, giving, and fearless about the future. I’m grateful for that. We really do care and love our neighbors and our town!
Our Council President, Council members, Office Staff, Police Department, and Public Works Crew do an outstanding job that I’m very thankful.
We wish you and your family the best this holiday season!
Have A Happy Thanksgiving!
Mayor Gregg
