Maybe a little less structure, but still encouraging children and our youth to be learning throughout the summer is essential for our community!
The Mars Public Library has been and continues to be one of the best assets serving the area year-round. In the summer, when schools are closed and retooling for the fall, the library has one of its busiest times of the year with their summer reading program.
Info on the Mars Area Public Library summer programs can be found on their website. https://www.marsarealibrary.org/
As the relationship between STEAM education and the importance it plays into someday having humans on the planet Mars, our town by the same name is positioning itself to be a hub of activity for learning opportunities.
Our conversations with NASA and, soon to begin in the fall, with Space X are enabling our town and area leaders to see tourism and education being the engines driving new opportunities for us all.
We will be building on a great history that our fine historical society keeps preserving and discovering for us! http://marshistory.org/
We are planning the next planet Mars New Year celebration for 2019 that will be featuring NASA’s Director of Overall Science Dr. James Green. More information coming this fall! www.marsnewyear.com
Keep us aware of your hopes and dreams for our area as we continue to make it a place where people want to live, play, and work as we care for people of all ages.
Have a safe and fulfilling summer of learning and activities for the entire family!
