MAYOR’S FOURTH OF JULY REFLECTIONS
I just want to say to everybody in the Mars Area, that the Borough Council and I really appreciate the pride and care you put into Mars. On July 4th, we thank everyone who does so much each and every day to defend our country, to defend our freedom, and serve their communities. We are grateful to our armed services. We are grateful to our military families. We are grateful to our veterans. And we are grateful for all our citizens who make Mars and our country special.
Without you, we could not enjoy the incredible blessings that we do in this greatest country on Earth, and in the only Mars on Earth. We hope you are looking forward to having a good time in Mars on July 4th as the Borough says thank you to each one of you with free food, entertainment, activities, a good old fashion parade, and fireworks to celebrate our country’s birthday.
So, I just want to wish you the happiest 4th of July and remind ourselves that freedom is not free — it’s paid by all the folks who serve our community and country in so many ways in making our world a better place. We want to thank those who aren’t with their families on this holiday because they’re serving overseas. We want to especially remember them.
Finally have a safe and fun July 4th and the rest of your summer.
Thank you so very much and God Bless!
Take care,
Mayor Gregg Hartung
